Toilet waste lengths

Post by russellfl » Mon Jul 07, 2008 4:43 pm

Hi, can anyone tell me if there is a limit to the length of a toilet wast pipe going to the soil stack?

I have a bungalow with a floating floor and would like to put in an en suite toilet in my front bedroom. The distance is approx 9 metres and the drop from the new toilet pan to the rear toilet waste where it could connect to would be about 300mm, if the length is ok would the drop be ok also?

Cheers

Hi russellfl,

Rule of the day is 1:40 drop

Therefore 9000 / 40 = 225mm

Make sure you have access points for then there is a problem and you need to get access to unblock the pipes, always think about how you are going to fix it when its broken/blocked, and you will save yourself a lot of hassle when it does, because we all know it will
