too long to warm up

by leonim » Sun Oct 07, 2007 8:53 pm

hi
due to absurd noises on my c/h sys I've taken all rads off to clean them up, then flushed the whole system, then cleanser for a couple of wks. Now all rads get piping hot but it takes over an hr to heat up all 5 rads. By the time the place is nice an warm is time to shut it down.
Any help to what the reason could be is a great help.

Are all the systems valves fully open? Is the boiler thermostat set to maximum? What speed is your pump set to?

It's got to be worth checking through all the standard stuff.
