Travertine wall tiles 610 x 406

Post by Reeny » Thu Feb 14, 2008 5:57 pm

Hi all

I purchased some travertine tiles 610mm x 406mm recently for my bathroom wall. When I bought them on the internet there was a picture of them on the wall. Now that they have arrived they seem very big to be on a wall. Can anyone confirm that this size is suitable for walls and if so, the best way to do it please? Thanks

There is no problem using this size tiles on walls except the weight factor , plastered walls will only take 20 kilos per sq mt and plasterboard 32 kilo per sq mt , best substrate to tile to would be render which does not have a weight limit.
Also remember to use a cement based flexible adhesive like Bal Single Part flexible or Bal Rapidset Flexible.
