Trying to replace tap washer

I live in a hard water area ,and am trying to replace a bath tape washer but can't undo the spindle nut.

Sorry not much can be said to help.

As you have probably already worked out - without getting the spindle out you cannot change the washer.

Abit persuasion and strength and you'll get it. Otherwise it looks like you'll need to renew the taps
