tv wall mounting
i am trying to fix a tv mount ihave drilled into the wall above my brick fire place but when i try to tighten the bolts into the wall plugs the plugs keep spinning as i tighten what can i do i dont want to keep drilling more holes :?:
Either
1/. take the plug out and pack the sides of the hole with some small timber wedges (matches??), preferably going into the wall for the whole length of the plug whilst you hammer the plug back home - needs to be a reasonably tight fit. 2/. get some bigger plugs which fit tightly in the hole 3/. try to manufacture a piece of timber which you hammer into the hole and drill a pilot hole into this to give the screw a chance to remain accurate wouldn't bother trying to use no-nails of polyfiller to try to rduce the size of the hole - others may feel different but its never worked for me!
