Underfloor heating or radiators - which is best in loft conversion?

Post by Mcuriousity » Sun Jun 22, 2014 8:37 am

In the middle of doing our loft conversion, always wanted underfloor heating up there but plumber has told us he doesnt think huge increase in cost is justifiable - obviously it comes down to our choice at end of the day but i would have hoped having underfloor heating vs radiators might add something to property value, as well as saving on wall space!

What do others think? Will be approx £1.5-£2k for underfloor plumbed in system...

Electric underfloor heating may be the answer if you are really set on underfloor heating. We have a page on this on the website

There is also the option of skirting radiators which are considerably less obtrusive than panel rads.
Do please let us know how you get on, your choices may help others in the same boat.
