    UPVC Front door warping

    Postby Rastanking » Fri Aug 27, 2010 9:05 am

    Hi everyone,

I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem. I've had a upvc front door installed about 3 years ago and have noticed that there is a gap of about 3 or 4mm starting to show at the bottom of it, as though the door has been 'bent' or started to warp.

Is there an easy solution to this such as adjusting the door or is it something more than this.

    Thanks in advance

    Rastanking,
Get the suppliers back - adjustment will not solve this problem.

Ive got the same problem as my door is bowed near the handle so much that draft is a real issue, is this a design fault or is it a result of poor fitting in the first place?

the doors on both issues are down to poor fitting,The doors panels need to be removed and refitted.
Contact a local upvc firm to do it,It wont cost much

    I have the same issue

i think i have the same issue. Did you get your door/frame re-fitted? I am constantly trying to adjust the door. If I put my head near the door I can hear traffic going past. If I adjust the hinges to pull the door in (as far as they can be moved in) I can still hear traffic.. if I push against the door the noise almost goes. So .. Do I need new hinges that can be pulled in a little bit more? Or is it something else?

    Cheers
