Used gas fire.

by davelester » Sun Feb 14, 2010 2:09 pm

Please can anyone help. I purchased a used ESSE Firemaster gas fire a couple of years ago.
I never got round to having it fitted. We have now sold our house and the buyers want it fitting. I am told no body will fit it without the manual, which i don't have. Is this correct? If so where can i get the manual.
Regards. Dave.

That's right no-one will fit it without the manual. Google it and see if it can be downloaded.

And you may find many will refuse to fit a second hand gas fire.

To be honest if the fire isn't part of the fixtures and fittings, why did you mention it to the buyers ? basically, go and enjoy your new house - it's not your problem.

Thanks for reply. Unfortunately the sale hasn't gone through, and this may affect it, hence wanting to get it done.

I had a similar problem, I contacted "firesfireplacesstoves.co.uk" and they game the details of where I could get a replacement copy. I sold my house for a profit!!! :-) Good Luck with the sale
