Using Central Heating Timer for Worcester Greenstar - Advice Needed

by davie_b1972 » Wed Dec 17, 2014 4:38 pm

Hi All,

I have moved into a property recently and having problems using the timer as I would like it to come on in the morning for an hour or so then later on when im back from work.

The system is a Worcester Greenstar HE (which im assuming is not recent) but not sure how to work the timer for it.

Ive uploaded a photo of the actual timer which is not on the boiler itself:

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

You need the instructions for the programmer to use it properly.

Basically if you press the select button the light should move from On/Off/Auto/All Day

If you set to All Day it'll bring the heating and/or hot water ON at the first On set point and go OFF at the last Off set point. For example if you have the heating set to come on at 8am-10am and 8pm-10pm, by setting to all day it will come on at 8am and go off at 10pm.

By setting to Auto, this will be on the timer. So would come on at 8am off at 10am, back on at 8pm and off again at 10pm.

You will set the timers using the bottom 6 buttons, for each day, but like I say - you need the instruction manual.
