Using metal studwork for 1st time

by Henrietta » Wed Jun 02, 2010 3:33 pm

Hi,
I would like to dry line my utility room as its old and pretty grotty. It's approx 4m long by 2.6m wide and 2.9m high. I have been told that I can use metal studwork as it's "fairly easy" to use. Is this true and how does the system work please? I guess there will be a head and foot rail with stud uprights but would it need cross rails for support if so how and where are they fixed in place? I consider myself a not too bad DIYer so am confident to do it but as always, knowing where to start always helps.
Any advice would be good please....
Thanks Henrietta.

Hi, metal stud partitioning is very easy to install, go to Knauf's website and you'll find a downloadable guide that should make all clear.
