Venting a central heating pump

by snowbam » Thu Aug 21, 2008 5:47 pm

Hi Guys

Think i may have an airlock in my central heating system and need to vent the pump. I know i have to turn the large central screw but ....couple of questions

Does the pump need to be on ?
Does the central heating need to be on ?
What happens when i do it ?

It's a Grundfos UPS 15-50x 18 pump and i can't find out anything about it
Any help or ideas would be great :)

Thanks

Hi, Snowbam,

With heating off, unscrew large screw on pump, a little water will come out and any air present. Then put screw back.
