Very long updates
About 4 or 5 times this year, when I shut down my PC a message appears telling me my machine is installing updates. I am not to switch it off cos it will do that itself. These updates take around 12 to 15 hours to install. I presume they are from Microsoft, but they are nothing like the normal updates when the shield pops up in the system tray and it takes a minute at the most. Does this happen to anyone else?
Many of the Microsoft updates require installation in this way. They should only take a few minutes to install, so if the process takes hours, it suggests there could be something afoot with your Windows installation.
