Hi,
I'm about to frame a dormor on a DIY loft conversion. All plans have been approved by council etc.
My question is does it matter what side of the existing rafters I put the extra doubling rafters. If I have the new doubling rafters to the outside of the dormor space I gain more room. This of course means the double trimmer/header will be attached to the existing rafter at each side with the doubling rafters on the other side of the existing rafter.
Many thanks |
