How do I repair marble?

We have just purchased and fitted a marble fire surround - however, when we fitted it we damaged it!!!!!! So we now have a beautiful marble surround complete with a dent about the size of a penny sitting in our livingroom. Can anyone suggest an appropriate "filler" or repair kit to rectify our problem? Where can we purchase a simple repair kit.
