Hi.
I am looking to soundproof my bedroom door from noisy housemates. After many hours of research, I found this Google "ehow.com/how_2303573_sound-proof-bedroom-door.html"

among other things.

I a door sweep and maybe acoustic tape is suitable for me.

1)DOOR SWEEP... Should I get specifically an acoustic one? If so where can I can one for a DIYer-the ones online seemed very expensive and professional- I am only looking for a cheap and cheeful solutions, nothing TOO good.
Also are they easy to install.
NB. currently I am stuffing a towel under the door

2)Foam gasket tape..
Im not sure about the terminology, can I just get foam tape, or acoustic gasket tape specifically? More importantly how do I install it, do I stick it on the door or the jamb? Are these sold at hardware shops?

Any help would be much appreciated. thank you

The simple, effective and cheap way to sound proof a door is to fix another door on the other side of the frame.
Cheap light weight doors can be obtained from all the large DIY stores
