I have bought some large self-adhesive vinyl tiles to cover a fairly big area. Half the area is already covered in vinyl sheeting (very expertly laid by specialists) and the other half is screeded concrete. I will not be taking up the vinyl that's already down, but will put a strip between the 2 areas.
After taking some advice and having a few tilers look at the tiles and flooring, it is apparent that the backing on the tiles is not going to be effective enough. It has been recommended that I apply an adhesive to the floor and that the tiles should fix on quite nicely.
Please could anyone suggest which type of adhesive I need for this job? Many thanks,
Carolyn
your best bet is to check with the manufacturer of the tiles to see what they would recommend - should be a telephone number on the packaging somewhere.
there are a few types of adhesive out there and you need to ensure you get the right one. needs to be compatible with the adhesive already on the back of the tiles. in fact you may find that no adhesive will be suitable and you might need to swap them for non-self adhesives.
