Hi, I'm getting a huge house built and i want a combi boiler. I don't have space for a cylinder because i need all the storage i can get and I've been told i can't put anything heavy in the loft because the rafters wont take large amounts of weight anymore.

Where on earth can i get a combi boiler to heat a 5 bed house a supply hot water to 5 bath rooms? i did think about doubling 2 up and having one for down stairs and one for up and putting them both in the utility room but then I'd loose a cupboard.

Please some one help!

In reality you will NEVER heat a 5 bed house and provide sufficient hot water for 5 bathrooms with a combi. You need an appropriately sized system boiler with stored hot water. If the house is that big you will have to afford to do the job properly from a space perspective.

Cheers

Surely if you're having a hugh house built you have the authority to say
"the cylinder will be going in the loft so make sure there's adequate support" If they say they can't do it they're talking rubbish.

Who designed the house ? surely they should be sacked. You don't design a house then think about how to heat it - to discover you can't ????

Hopefully the house isn't finished - and the design can be altered to incorporate supports for cylinders in the loft.
