My daughter has just brought a new tv for her bedroom with built in freeview, can anybody tell me if a indoor digital aerial will work, we use virgin media for the rest of the house and dont want the cost of paying for an external digital aerial.

Unless she lives in a very strong signal area, the answer is almost certainly no. At the moment until analogue is turned off, the digital signal is running at a reduced output to avoid interference with the existing 5 channels. This means temporarily a much stronger signal from a bigger aerial is required for the new digital services.

Much depends on area, I can watch Moel-y-parc on indoor without a problem but can't understand Welsh so I use out door aerial aimed at Winter Hill.
