I have recently purchased a barn and am starting the design.

I was wondering if anyone had any information with regards to the negatives and plus points of keeping the sandstone blocks exposed internally with regards to heating and how they store heat or how heat passes through?

Thanks

Em

Emsky123,
It is very unlikely that you will be able to leave internal faces of solid external walls exposed due to the insulation requirements of the building regs.

stoneyboy is right unless walls are 2ft+ thick. There is however products like decopierre that can be added to insulation to bring back stone effect. :D
