Forest Green too Dark

Hello everyone

this might seem a daft question but we have just moved into a house with a big fence, we wish to piant it a nice light green colour, but all we can find in the local DIY stores is Forest Green, which is too dark ( apart from phenomenally expensive tins of fence paint in the right shade, but I would need to take out another mortgage to pay for)

Is there any way to lighten the Forest Green colour without losing any of its preservation properties?
