hi can anyone advise me on stopping the noise from my bathroom that is above my livingroom when any one uses the loo you can hear every little noise it is a modern house and does not have floorboards :oops:

I have solved this problem by completely filling the space between the joists with fibre glass and creating a second ceiling fixed to the walls.
This worked. How the fibre glass by itself contributed I don't know.
I appreciate this solution will cost, but whoever designed your setup was mad.
Can you not move the toilet to somewhere else?
