Can anyone give me a rough idea of how much it would cost to replace a consumer unit fuse box, minimum 10 way. Box in same position. Had a quote of £350. does that sound OK? Thanks

that seems about the norm, is he suppling cu.. Supply & fit 12 way (5+5+2) high integrity 17th edition consumer unit, £320 including all MCBs Board mounted on panel, price includes local building control notification for part "P" also all relevant certification issued .

To replace old fusebox with new Hager 6+6 twin RCD 17th Edition consumer unit with new tails and earth. Fully certified and part p Registered. £300 item/job Leicestershire 2009-09-28.

Install new consumer unit up to 12 circuits including earth bonding, fully certifcated to Part P. Fully insured and garaunteed for six years! Tested and inspected, Labour and materials. £375 item/job Leeds 2009-09-23

for a straightforward change thats what I would charge, extra if there are cables that need extending, bonding to upgrade etc
