Vinyl self adhesive Planks - suitability

Post by Devallon » Sat Jun 20, 2009 6:01 pm

Can anyone advise if the self adhesive vinyl planks that are widely available on ebay and such places, are suitable for a village hall entrance where there will be heavy wear ?
The Hall already has a vinyl floor laid that needs replacing, more for its colour and staining but it does have a few places where the vinyl has worn through. To take up the old floor would be a nightmare, and we were considering laying the new floor on top of the old, repairing the damaged areas as we go.
The Hall is destined for a rebuild and we are only really looking for a 3 year life out of this floor, so a long life cycle is not a high priority, but we don't want a floor that stretches or cant cope with Brownies and Scouts !
Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks

Noone can answer this question without knowledge of the make and specification of the product you are talking about.
