i have recently had an extension built on back of my house, wot i am trying to find out is how do i fill the gap in the existing cavity at floor level after i take out the patio doors, would i need to put a DPC though.

If you have the depth cut the internal wall below floor level fit a cavity closer and concrete on top to reinstate the floor level. Keep dpcs intact.
