Wall boards

by PIZZA » Thu Apr 17, 2008 8:22 pm

I am about to fix several wallboards to my living room fire place, is it possible to decorate with out plastering the wallboards, and if possible how to go about this and which materials to use.

Hi PIZZA,
You can tape the joints up using a nylon self adhesive scrim and then fill joint out with a jointing compound (I use easyfill). You will have to fill joints out two or three times ideally using tapered edge boards. After each application it will need a light sand down, when happy the wall is in good order it will need priming before painting.
