Wall light replacement!

Hi all i'm new here so be gentle!

i have an existing wall light which is on a pull switch and its feed is wired into a double socket!
what i want to do is replace the light and have a normal light switch about 2mts away from both the light and socket! how easy will this be to do and is their anything i need to be aware of?
any help appreciated!
