Wall ties required for a porch?

Post by Elkhound » Wed Sep 19, 2012 8:01 pm

Evening all

First post so I'll start by saying hello to everyone!!

I have a question on wall ties, I am due to start building my porch at the weekend, it is only going to be 2mx1m but I am unsure whether to butt the brickwork up to the existing wall or add ties.
Screwfix seem to have a fairly decent cheap solution and for what it costs I am swaying towards these.
Has anyone used a similar device and is it worth my while using them?

Thanks in advance

Lee

yes its best you use them,Use the bluebird screw in ties, you can buy them individually at your local builders merchants.Or a wall starter strip wil do.
