Wallpaper

Previous owners in my house decorated the bedroom by lining the walls and then painting over them.
I want to wallpaper so have started stripping the walls but underneath the lining is just concrete blocks, no plaster. Is it ok to wall paper directly onto the concrete? it seems to be smooth and in good condition. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Any pic's? No need to strip in the 1st place, you could have easily just have papered over the lining paper.
