Want to change from Eyeball down-lights - to another type?

by Jumos » Fri Feb 25, 2011 11:02 pm

Hi,

We have some large eyeball down lights X 4, fitted in our kitchen ceiling!

We are so fed up with them; and it is so difficult to change a bulb, the threads wore away on one lot of fittings, so we had them changed; and the new ones are very difficult when trying to remove or fit a bulb!

Is there a light fitting available that would replace the eyeball and threaded bulb fitting - for a fitting that would fit in the place of the eyeball fitting; and would fit in to the hole where the eyeball fitting resides! Preferably a fitting that takes a bayonet or push in bulb. can anyone recommend a solution? to this problem! Here's a photo of the light fitting we'd like to replace.

Need to replace these for something easier to manage when changing bulbs - we have four of these fitted in our kitchen ceiling, would like to replace them without altering the holes in the ceiling.

Thanks

jumos.

There are flush down lights that fit in these holes. Google "lamps2udirect.com"
