washing machine drain/waste hose

by lisacogger » Sun Mar 30, 2008 9:20 pm

I want to move my washing machine from one end of the kitchen to the other. My machine came with a 1.5m waste/drain hose but I need it to be approx 6m. Can i just extend it? if so how?

If not what are my options?

Any help very much welcome.
Lisa

you need to re-route your waste closer to the washing machine. shouldnt really be any more than 3 metres tops.

yes, move your waste pipe closer to the machine, do not lengthen the machine hose - the pump on your machine may not be designed to pump the waste that far through a narrow hose and you could easily burn it out.
