washing machine drum jammed belt, bearings motor ok

Hi all! Right we just bought an american Rv with a Hotpoint Aquarius in it. The guy forgot to put the transit bolts in before he towed it down to London for us. We tried the machine when we got the trailer here but the drum will only turn about 10 cm's in either direction before jamming. The motor is spinning but throws the belt every time we replace it. Any ideas? We think it might have something to do with the forgotten transit bolts?? It does everything else its suppose to ie water drainage etc. Fingers crossed
