waste bath water rising in shower tray

Any advice? when I fully open the bath plug to let out the water it rises up through the drain in the shower tray. What do I do :? :?

Fix the fall (or lack thereof) on the waste system. Is the waste all under the floor or is it accessible?

could also be that the pipe work is starting to block up and may need to be cleaned out
