WC Flush

by breshe » Sat Sep 06, 2008 5:23 pm

I have just finished installing a new toilet and when it is flushed it is not strong enough to empty all the contents from the pan.

Can the cistern be adjusted to fix this?

Is your toilet a low level type with the "L" shaped pipe between pan and cistern? If so, check the pipe is not pushed in too far to the back of the toilet as it can be partially blocked restricting flow.

Have you connected it to the drain using a flexible pan connector? If the fall is not great, the corrugations can cause the flow of waste to be interrupted.

The toilet is a coupled not with the L connector.

I have fitted a flexible waste pipe but it has a good drop on it.
