weeping boiler pipe

the water pipe which enters the top of the boiler is weeping ever so slightly is it some thing i can sort myself or do i need to get someone in?

Any reply to your question would be fraught with dangers.
You don't say how old the boiler is, whether the leak is on the heat exchanger casting, what materials are involved etc etc.
I would say don't try, get a specialist is who can deal with emergencies if it goes belly-up.
