What is the Felt Under Tiles Called and How do I Replace it?

by MiniMum97 » Sun Feb 28, 2016 6:48 pm

Hi
Sorry for odd question but we have some "felt" type substance under the tiles on our extension with appears to be there to make sure water runs into the guttering at the edge of the roof. Does anyone know what this is called and how can we safely lift the roof tiles to replace it?
Many thanks

its just roofing underfelt, you can buy eaves protector, which is a length of plastic, than can be installed if the edge of the felt has perished

Thanks Welsh brickie. Do you mean that the plastic eaves protector can be installed without lifting the tiles?
