what paint to use on decking over a pond?

I have koi carp in my pond and a 3 year old son, so I decked over the pond to ensure his safety. but a year on and the decking is suffering a little with algie.
what would be the best or safest paint to use so that it dose not poisen the fish?? and so it protects the wood too!
