what plasterboard to use

have a chimney brest with all the plaster taken off back to brickwork .would like to plasterboard it then skim before having a gas fire installed, can you tell me which plasterboard to use[b][/b][quote][/quote]

hi chris gypsum,
use fireboard, it is easily identified the board is a light reddy pink in colour.

thanks been incontact with gyproc technical advice 12.5 wall board two coat skim is fine,
