where can i buy new upvc beads for double glazed windows

    Postby pavey » Sun Nov 18, 2007 1:18 pm

    HI
I've just bought a second hand conservatory and had to dismantle and collect myself.During dismantling the conservatory,a few of the roof and window beadings broke as they were quite brittle.Any idea where I can buy new beading for the windows and roof?????????. I do not know the make of the conservatory.
    Many thanks
    Ian

beads are profile specific which means you have to try to ind out whose profile it is ( there are over 100) one way that you can try is to look at the inside of the profile where the glass sits it usually has a stamp on there of some sort. Are the beads , single leg, double leg or shuffle? there are so many parameters you may find it difficult to find. Can you find out where the previous owner bought it that might help regards Les

You should be able to buy them from most conservatory suppliers or fitters
