Where do I begin

Postby gerloo » Fri Mar 20, 2009 8:13 pm

I have bought a house in Bulgaria and have designed an extension. I need help in calculating foundations and underpinning.

How deep should foundations be? How much ballast/cement etc will I need for the foundations. The area of the extension is 85 sq m. :?

I want to know how much stuff I will need because I want to know if I am being ripped off.
Thanks

if you want to calculate concrete

length x breath x depth

say trench is 600mm wide and depth of concrete is 200mm thick and its 25metres long

calculate 25 x .6 x .2 that will give you per cubic square metre.

Also its 2.2 tonnes of concrete to a cubic square metre

hope this helps
