Whirpool AWG329 Dryer not working

I've moved into a house recently where there is an integrated AWG329 washer/dryer. The dryer is not working. It seems to spin but not heat up. I've opened the top of the machine and found that there is one wire that is cut/broken. It's a green/yellow colour wire. I've attached a pic below. do you think I should connect this wire. will it solve the problem?
