    Hi All
I have built a 4 mtr long, 1mtr high garden "Trough"/ raised bed!, with 2.5 cm gap between two layers of GP1 blocks, unfortunately before seeking advice the channel has now been filled with top soil, the wall has had a scratch and a top coat with stipple effect ready for masonry paint, the problem is will damp penetrate from inside and "damage" the paint, do I need to coat the wall with sealant before painting?
I do not mind re-painting annually, help please.

Sorry, did not know what dept.to post this topic.

I don't think there is any point as its likely to flake anyway, but try coating it in a pva solution it may help
