    window vents

    Postby sydie2008 » Tue Nov 04, 2008 8:52 pm

does anybody know if there's anything on the market for blocking up vents on upvc windows?
Ours let in draughs and noise. Wouldn't be so bad if we only had one or two per window but we have eight.
Seems to do away with the point of having double glazing in the first place.

The vents are there for the purpose of reducing condensation and are required under the Building Regulations. The amount you are quoting does seems a lot. The requirement is for between 4000 and 8000 mm2 free flow area per room.
