Wiring a 'switched' lampholder help needed

by Vanesita2016 » Sat Jul 30, 2016 10:27 pm

Could anyone assist with wiring a switched lampholder. I know the switch needs to break the 'live' wire, however, looking at the pictures of the product I have, could you describe exactly where the brown/live wire needs to go through please?
Many thanks.

Do the terminals have any markings on?
I would say (guess) that the permanent/common live would be terminated at the upper terminal of switch as pictured.
Then switch line would be terminated to the terminal at bottom of the switch.
The lamp will need a neutral, so that would also require identifying.
