Wiring additional ceiling light

Post by Ellam » Wed Jun 20, 2007 11:00 am

Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help me with the following - I want to wire in an additional celing light (in a small dressing room) worked from the same switch as the main light. Can I just run cable from the existing ceiling rose and if so, which one(s)?

Hi Ellam
yes just run a twin+E to old rose and connect to the terms that go to your flex connections, normally this will be 2 blk. Neutrals to which you add your new Blue,
old connection with one blk(should have red sleeve ) which goes to flex Brn also takes your new Brn , Earths together of course.
