Wooden floor, one of the pieces doesn't match?

by reggae88 » Tue Jan 26, 2010 10:50 am

Hi, I've just laid a real wood floor (satin stained) and one of the packs was a different batch. Being slightly colour blind, I didn't notice. Is there a way to blend the 'Rustic oak' in with the odd board which is slightly redder. The problem is they are glued together.

reggae88,
If it was a pre-stained floor try getting some water based varnish with pigment and recoat the offending boards but try a small area first - an offcut would be ideal.
