Woodworm treatment questions

by apcl73 » Wed Aug 19, 2009 11:54 am

Hi

I am selling my flat and the buyers surveyor have identified some woodworm. The quote the buyer got for getting this rectified is close to £1000. My thinking is I could get the woodworm treatment myself and spray the floor. My questions are:

1) Is this easy to do?
2) Is this a good approach?
3) Will the company that quoted do anything different to me?
4) Is there a legal requirement to get a company to do it?
5) Do I need to provide any kind of certificate to say its been done?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Cheers

5) Do I need to provide any kind of certificate to say its been done? YES but one from you will be worthless unless you can back it up with a guarantee.
