Hi there,

This is my first post so sorry in advance.

I'm making a small wooden plaque for my parents anniversary. Us kids are going to write messages on the back of it. I'm looking to finish it with Teak Oil, so my question is -

Should we write on it before or after the oil has been applied? Is there any certain pen we could/should use?

I've looked into burning a message in but I don't think that's achievable right now.
