New wheels for 2006 Opel Corsa

I would like to get a new (second-hand) set of wheels for a 2006 (new model) Corsa so I can put my winter tyres on them and not have to keep changing the tyresat the beginning and end of winter. All the local tyre people I've spoken to say "Sorry, the car's too new, you can't get second-hand wheels for it". Surely this is nonsense? I can't believe they are unique to the new model Corsa -- wouldn't an old-model Corsa, say, have the same wheels? How can I find out? (It's a low spec model, not fancy alloys or anything, 13 inch wheels, bog standard as far as I can see.)
