Standard Delivery Terms

DIY Doctor Standard Delivery Charges in Mainland UK including VAT are as follows;

 

England and Wales

Delivery services and costs (including VAT) to England and Wales mainland destinations:

Note. Some products (certain Zarges, Forgefix etc products), which are delivered direct from suppliers have free delivery. If these are part of a mixed order, only the delivery charges related to the other items will be made.

Our couriers deliver between the hours of 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. Smaller items (less than 2Kg) can be delivered by Royal Mail and these deliveries can occur on Saturdays.

Express Delivery Terms

Express delivery will only be offered as an option if it is available for the product being purchased. If multiple products are being purchased, the express delivery will only be offered if all products are able to be delivered by Express Delivery.

Orders must be placed before 13.00 (before 10am for all Eco Solutions products, see Exceptions and Delivery Limitiations below) to qualify for next working day delivery; orders placed after this time may not be dispatched until the following day (on a next working day service), however we will make every effort to get orders dispatched on the same day after this time.

DIY Doctor Ltd cannot be held liable for any cost resulting from delayed deliveries. 

 

Bank Holidays

We do experience an increase in orders over Bank holidays which can lead to delays in processing orders. We will endeavour to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible. If there are any potential delays we will contact you directly to inform you. 

Christmas 2018 Delivery dates:


Orders placed before 4pm on Wednesday the 19th December, subject to the product being in stock, will be dispatched for delivery to you in time for Christmas. If for any reason we cannot make this we will let you know as soon as possible.

Any orders received after this time and before 5pm on Friday the 21st December will be dispatched to you on an overnight carrier. However we cannot offer any guarantees that these will be delivered in time for Christmas; we'll do our best as we know how important it is! We will confirm delivery dates as soon as we know them and inform you if we feel your order might be at risk of not arriving in time.

Any orders received over the Christmas break will be dispatched on Wednesday 2nd January.

Overseas Delivery

We do not normally deliver outside of the UK, however customers overseas wishing to purchase from this website are welcome to contact DIY Doctor directly using enquiries@diydoctor.co.uk and we'd be pleased to discuss special delivery arrangements.

Free Delivery:

Where products have been quoted as having free delivery or delivery included, this will not apply for the "Outlying Areas" described above. Northern Ireland, the Highlands and Islands attract higher rates due to the excess delivery charges incurred reaching these locations. Delivery costs can be seen by entering your postcode into the basket. 

Exceptions and Delivery Limitiations

Orders for Eco Solutions products by Express carriage should be completed before 10.00 am for next working day delivery (no Saturday delivery available). All orders taken after 10.00am Thursday (and before Monday 10.00am) will be delivered on the following Tuesday (exceptions may apply for bank holidays and seasonal holidays). This is to reduce the higher rates of damage and failed deliveries which occur if liquids are dispatched and held in the courier depot over the weekend. 

 Returns

Returns & Refunds: Items not required

We at the DIY Doctor DIY Store aim to provide you with as much information as we can about each product so that you can make an informed purchasing decision. However, to give you additional confidence, we will allow you to return any item if it is not what you require within 14 days of receipt as long as it has not been used and is returned in its original undamaged packaging.

All you need to do is to contact us on 0845 634 2179 and we will issue you with a Returns Form and Returns Code, explain our simple Returns Procedures and discuss with you the easiest and most convenient way for you to return the item(s) to us. You should then return the item(s) to us by the agreed method together with a completed Goods Return Form. Unfortunately we cannot accept proof of posting as confirmation of delivery.

Upon receipt of the item(s) we will refund the full value of the item(s) subject to them being unused and in their original condition and packaging. Unless otherwise agreed, you will be responsible for the costs for returning the goods to us.

Please ensure that the products are suitably packaged as we cannot be responsible for damage that might occur in transit. It is advisable to ensure that all the goods are unpackaged, inspected and repackage adequately before returning them to us, even if you intend to return the good immediately. 

Faulty, Incorrectly Supplied and Damaged Items

If an item has been incorrectly supplied, received damaged or is faulty then all you need to do is follow the Returns Procedures detailed above. We will then arrange collection of the item(s) free of charge. Upon receipt of the item(s) we will refund the full value of the goods and any carriage costs within 30 days.

Any damaged or faulty items must be reported to us within 3 working days of the delivery date. If an issue is reported to us after this date we are not able to take address any issues with our courier companies and therefore may not be able to arrange a refund for you. 

When your order is dispatched we will send you an email; delivery should be made within 3 days of this date. If you have not received your order within 14 days of this email please contact us. It may not be possible to issue a refund for orders that have not been notified as undelivered after 21 days of the date of dispatch (as stated in the dispatch email).
