Details

The Zarges Utility Ladder is a multi-function ladder which may be used as a stepladder, stepladder on stairways and a straight lean-to ladder. The ladder consists of 3-parts: 2 sections, each with 4 rungs, which are connected by a locking hinge mechanism. The 3rd outer section is made from an open 'C' profile, which is designed to slide over the inner section. Please note the inner part MUST NOT be used as a stepladder without the outer part.

The hinge will lock automatically when the ladder is opened to the 'A' stepladder mode. An indicator will show that the mechanism is locked: 'O' indicates that the mechanism is unlocked and 'C' indicates that the mechanism is locked. The mechanism must be unlocked to allow the ladder to close or to be opened completely to a straight ladder: pull the lever until the locking indicator clicks into the open 'O' position. Repeat on the other hinge.

The extending section is locked in place by a spring-loaded rung locking bolt on each side of the ladder. Open the bolt by pulling it outwards and rotating it to rest on the stile of the extension. Extend the ladder to the desired length and relocate the rung locking bolt.

Specification:

Number of Rungs: 3 x 4
Closed Length: 1.30m
Open Height as a Stepladder: 1.22m
Extended Height as a Straight Ladder: 3.32m
Weight: 10kg

We deliver throughout the UK and standard delivery times are 2-5 working days. We try to exceed this delivery time wherever we can. We also offer a express delivery service when available giving a next working day service if ordered before 1 pm (10 am for Eco Solutions products). Confirmation of delivery will be made on receipt of the order.

We will always try to exceed our stated delivery times where possible or dispatch orders for delivery on the next working day after our cut-off whenever possible.

Our returns policy allows you to return any item if it is not what you require within 14 days of receipt. This is as long as it has not been used and is returned in its original undamaged packaging.

Covid-19

The DIY Doctor store is open and available for delivery orders.

Our range of products is reduced to focus on products that are essential, or safe to pick and dispatch.

Delivery times will be extended by up to 5-7 days as we deal with orders while following government distancing guidelines.

Bank Holidays

We do experience an increase in orders over Bank holidays which can lead to delays in processing orders. We will endeavour to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible. If there are any potential delays we will contact you directly to inform you.

Free Delivery:

Where products have been quoted as having free delivery or delivery included, this will not apply for Northern Ireland and the Highlands and Islands due to the excess delivery charges incurred reaching these locations. Delivery costs can be seen by entering your postcode into the basket.

Why do we charge delivery?

A great many of our customers purchase multiple products, so if we build the delivery charges into each item we will in effect be charging delivery on every product in their basket. We think it is fairer to charge a single delivery cost for the contents of the whole basket once. Some products do have delivery included; this is typically because they are dispatched from another location, generally direct from the manufacturer, as there are restrictions to how they can be delivered due to their size, or if they are liquids, for example.
